Pin-up Darlings from Then & Now--Sharon Tate & Hilary Duff

Sharon Tate was an American actress and style icon during the 1960's. She appeared regularly in fashion magazines and was one of the first cover girl models. At the young age of 26 she married one of her costars from the film 'The fearless Vampire Killers.' Sharon Tate was the victim of a brutal murder at 8 1/2 months pregnant by the 'Manson Family', a group of cult killers. After her death, her family fought the California justice system so families would have the ability to make a statement after the trials, which served as a symbol of the victims rights. Sharon was known for her eclectic, glam/hippie sense of style that many actresses of her time did not have. She was a free spirit and was not afraid to dress to her mood.

Hilary Duff grew up in the spotlight, and unlike many other child-stars we can think of she turned out super normal! She has worn many different hats as singer/songwriter, actor, entrepreneur, and author. She was a teen idol starring in numerous movies on the Disney channel including, "A Cinderella Story", "Agent Cody Banks", "Cheaper by the Dozen", and "Lizzie McGuire". She gave birth to her son Luca in March and has stayed back from the spotlight since then. Hilary's style is considered to be polished boho; she always finds ways to incorporate boho pieces into her business casual wardrobe.

Both of these women have inspired us, and we have featured a few of our favorite 'Polished Boho' pieces below!
